    • Randwick Army Barracks
Single level self-contained office addition to Building 104. The transport office windows and door needed to match those in the adjacent building with Red Anodised window frames and Black Anodised window sashes. The transport office was to be designed and built by us and we engaged drafting and structural engineering consultants and built 90% of the project in-house The existing gymnasium floor was covered with carpet and an underlay flooring used in the weights area. CPG were required by their client to replace the existing carpet and underlay in the gym equipment area with similar rubber flooring that existed at the Eastern side of the room. CPG removed all carpet in the area and replaced it with approved specific gym flooring suitable enough for a fully qualified public gym. The type of flooring that was installed in the gym is Everroll Classic produced by Regupol Australia Pty Ltd and is the Classic Palau colour.

    • HMAS Watson Naval Base, Watsons Bay
Located at HMAS Watson is Building 8, the Administration Building and the main Headquarters of the base. Building 8 is regarded as highly important as it houses the XO, CO, BSOP, etc. and also contains Armoury alarms sensitive to excessive vibration. Building 12 is the Wardroom Building, which provides the use of Officers’ Accommodation, Wardroom Gallery, Ostrowski Room and Captains Caddy. This project entailed the repairs and maintenance to Building 8 and 12 as they are deteriorating and in need of repair and refurbishment. CPG understood this project required dedicated and specific subcontractors to complete certain different phases of the works. A total external refurbishment of Building 8 was required along with a complete renovation of all Ablutions within the building. Building 12 entailed the restoration and complete makeover of Ablutions, both male and Female, Unisex Bathrooms and also the Male and Female Change Rooms.

    • Regent Street, Paddington
The restoration and modernisation of this circa 1890 Masonry, 4 Level Terrace. This project at Paddington was initially quoted as a lump sum and fixed time contract. As it progressed it was evident early on that the client and architect favoured an evolving and refining approach to the design. To eliminate the stress and documentation involved in such an approach, all parties agreed to working together and making fair and good progress with costs and overruns dealt with in a provisional cost type manner. Therefore there were changes in costs and timing to completion, however, all were instigated by the clients and designers and easily accommodated by CPG. The result is a stunning Terrace with no compromise on cost or quality and very happy clients.

    • Nelson Street, Annandale
Reconstruction and modification of a leaking roof terrace atop a garage. Also, inclusion of a wine cellar, internal stair case and bathroom and kitchenette inside studio. The studio Floor which was already damaged by the leaking roof terrace, had to be kept and returned to as new condition. Heavy steel staircase between house and studio was to be demolished and removed and replaced with tiered MODWOOD decking, seating and stairs. The entire access for the works was through a new stair opening created in the garage ceiling. The structural works inside the courtyard included concreting, heavy structural steel fabrication and installation plus laying and concrete filling concrete blocks. Outdoor kitchen provisions (hot and cold water, gas and drainage) were to be incorporated on the roof terrace level. The complexity of the construction was further enhanced by having the clients living in the residence during the full duration of the works.
